Safety

- Respect other people
-
All skiers should ensure that their behaviour is such that it will not put others in danger, and that neither their equipment nor their behaviour harm other people.
- Stay in control of your speed
-
Skiers must adapt their speed and behaviour to their own ability and to the general weather and terrain conditions, the state of the snow, and the density of traffic on the slopes.
- Control your route
-
The upslope skier has the right of way and must choose a route that poses no danger to the skier below.
- Skier's obligations when crossing other skiers
-
Any skier entering a slope or crossing a ski area must first look up and down slope to ensure that they can do so without causing danger to themselves or other skiers. These same precautions should be taken after stopping.
- Passing
-
Skiers may pass up or down slope, and to the right or left, but always leaving enough room to not encumber the skier being passed.
- Stopping
-
All skiers should avoid stopping in narrow or hard-to-see pathways. In the case of a fall, the skier should move off the slopes as quickly as possible.
- Climbing and Descending by foot
-
Any skiers climbing or descending by foot must use the edge of the slope and ensure that neither they nor their equipment could endanger others.
- Obey the signs
-
All skiers must inform themselves of weather, slope and snow conditions. They must respect all markings and signs.
- Help
-
Any skier who witnesses or causes an accident must assist the injured party and call for help. If the rescue team needs or asks for his or her help, they must make themselves available.
- Identification
-
Any skier who witnesses or causes an accident must make him or herself known to the emergency services and/or other third parties.
